There is a possibility to rent the GoKoBra buggy to participate in one or more rally raid races.
In case of renting the buggy for a race, GoKoBra Racing will provide the service during the race.
When renting a GoKoBra buggy, the competitor has to buy an (Suzuki Hayabusa) engine for the buggy which will only be used by the competitor. GoKoBra racing will modify the engine to race specifications (like installing a new main axle, heavy race clutch, external heavy clutch cylinder and larger crankcase) and install and demount the engine of the competitor.
We decided to work with this structure because it is easy to destroy an engine within a day while it is also possible to race up to 20.000 kilometers with an engine all dependant on the driving skills of the competitor. If the engine is yours, you will better understand and feel the importance of dealing well with the engine and you will not be dependant on how the previous competitor dealt with the engine. We are convinced this structure will help you to increase your chance of finishing your rally.
The price of a brand new, ready to race Suzuki Hayabusa engine including all modifications is 14.000 euros.
We expect each competitor to be able to be able to race up to 15.000 kilometers with an engine.
Which is typically like 20 to 30 racing days.
We recommend to replace the clutch each 5.000 racing kilometers - (priced at 1.000 euros (ex. VAT)).
The rental fee of the buggy is 10.000 euros base fee for each race plus 5.000 euros for each race day.
3 Examples for the cost of rental:
A. 3 days race:
Your rent of the buggy will be 25.000 euros (10 + 3 times 5).
On top of this you have to buy an engine of 14.000 euros, pay for transport of the buggy and pay your inscription and other personal stuff like travelcosts, license and of course your private stuff like the look at feel of the buggy(stickers, color), advertisements, photos, PR, clothing, helmet, race chair and fuell during the race.
Costs of service by GoKoBra Racing during the race is not included in this price.
T4 service in the race is not included.
B. 8 days race:
The rent of the buggy will be 50.000 euros. (10 + 8 times 5).
On top of this you have to buy an engine of 14.000 euros, pay for transport of the buggy and pay your inscription and other personal stuff like travelcosts, license and of course your private stuff like the look at feel of the buggy (stickers, color), advertisements, photos, PR, clothing, helmet, race chair and fuell during the race.
Costs of service by GoKoBra Racing during the race is not included in this price.
T4 service in the race is not included.
C. Dakar (assume 14 days of racing):
The rent of the buggy will be 80.000 euros. (10 + 14 times 5).
On top of this you have to buy an engine of 14.000 euros, pay for transport of the buggy and pay your inscription and other personal stuff like travelcosts, license and of course your private stuff like the look at feel of the buggy (stickers, color), advertisements, photos, PR, clothing, helmet, race chair and fuell during the race.
Costs of service by GoKoBra Racing during the race is not included in this price.
T4 service in the race is not included.
The total cost of a Dakar participation including service will be approximately 200.000 euros. This is excluding the costs of a T4 and repair of the things you break during the race. In this price estimation all other costs are included.
We will demount your engine after each race. When desired we can store your engine until you participate in another race. Of course you can store your own engine too.
We will invoice you also all parts which you damage during the race (like whish bones, tyres, rims and so on). This to be decided and approved by you after each race day.
